From the Spectrophilia album..
Rock music with a bit of a roll.. yes, The Volunteers are served straight up in the single malt blend that is New York City. Led by songwriter Dan Goddard (guitar, vocals), this group has been thoroughly entertaining audiences across the country with intelligent, poetic and often humorous songs that are instantly memorable.
Produced by Paul Mahajan (Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, TV on the Radio, The National) and featuring contributions from Stuart Bogie (Antibalas) and Clint Steele (The Swans).
Into Arcadia is a 21st Century idea. Their music is played at times with only 2 fingers but with the power of a million of hands. Their songs reach outer space with anthematic pleas to your rock and roll soul that reach the triumphant side of your pop sensibilities. Otto Ohlsson, Kenny Buesing, Wes Falk and Zak Weiland combine to write songs about their passions, their observations and this condition of skin and bones called, life. The funny thing about being this heavy is that their music has a humble strength to lift even the heaviest of doubters and punters.
From the Creating the Creator album. Twelve tracks of rock music that sounds unlike any band in America today. Songs like opener "Turn The Halos" and the relentless "Saccharin" are filled with arena-rock magnitude the world has sorely missed, while the soft ballad "Fading Out" shows that the band sounds amazing even when the amps aren't at "11". But rock is the forte and head-pounders "Get More", "Slaves", and "Tanya" will make any rock enthusiast sigh in relief that someone is finally getting it right.
From the void, an original sound with a scorching lead vocal has ignited.... System Noise buzzes between genres, transcending any pure classification. Songs instantly hook listeners then grind eardrums to fine sediment. The style grooves along structured lines and blooms with classical awareness. Rising above these churning tones is a dynamic female vocal, replete with sweetness and fury. The music is robust yet ethereal, organic yet precise and, above all, distinctively System Noise.
BigFan can be described as the distance of society from itself. Dug up from a fire within by Dave (tTHT) and long time friend and songwriter John Cave, in collaboration with several innovative artists including vocalist Ray Fritz (Broadway singer, model), and drummer Doron Lev (ATG).
Sponsored by The Wink Winks, these bold recordings, many of which scored as "hit-grade" on Platinum Blue, are available now.
Dave... the Two Hands Tapping is a bassist and songwriter who has been involved with a number of great acts, from Lost Tricks, to The Nillaz, to his solo shows, to BigFan, to Luxury, to 45High, and now System Noise. He is known for his insane technique while understanding the role of what the bass should be,
all while cranking out an unusually high volume of material. He descibes his music as "the collective experience of everything he has ever listened to and
everyone he has ever met". A colorful character both on-stage and off, he is known as one of the hottest bass players in New York City.
Dave... the Two Hands Tapping was the first client of The Wink Winks and is now a partner with the company. Well versed in a variety musical genres he has "taken the leap" and has become instrumental in evaluating the needs and opportunities of other artists.
